We are happy to announce the return of our traditional Chili Cook Off competition on Sunday, January 29th, in the Neighborhood Center. As this is also NFL Championship Sunday (AFC and NFC Conference Championships), we hope that all of our chili chefs, football fans, and just general socializers will find this a good reason to congregate!

Tentative schedule:
3:05 pm –- AFC Championship Game Kickoff
4:30 pm (approx.) — Chili Kickoff Tastings during Halftime
5:15pm (approx..) –- Announcement of Chili winners!
6:30 pm –- NFC Championship Game Kickoff

For our chili chefs, enter your best batch of chili and see how yours ranks against your neighbors’ recipes. Chili Cook Off tastings will begin at halftime of the AFC game, at roughly 4:30 pm. Winners of the Chili Cook Off will be announced as soon as everyone has placed their vote for their favorite. Even if you’re not a football fan, feel free to enter your chili, or just come out to be a taste tester!

Residents are welcome to bring any other snacks or desserts they might like for themselves or to share with everyone. Please BYO Beverages.

This event will be open to all residents at no charge. If you’d like to attend, please sign up ASAP in the Post Office. If you’d like to enter the Chili Cook Off, please check the box next to your name. See Below for more details on the Chili Cook Off.

-Large batch of your best homemade chili (Don’t be shy, if we run out and taste testers can’t try your chili, they can’t vote for it)
-A large pot or crockpot to serve from (crockpots will remain hotter, I suggest using one if you can)
-Serving Spoon or ladle
-Any Chili Toppings (Sour Cream, Cheese, Tortilla Chips) you recommend for your recipe on the side in serving dishes with serving spoons
-All chili entries should be brought warm to the Neighborhood Center NO LATER THAN 3:30 pm.
We will provide:
-A blind taste test setup
-Numbered tasting cups to go with each entry
